FAIRBORN — The 46th Annual Holiday Bazaar by Mary, Help of Christians Church will take place 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5 and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6 in the Parish Center All purpose room at the church, 934 N. Maple Avenue.

This tradition at Mary, Help of Christians is described as a labor or love, as items for the event have been made throughout the year at weekly workshops and at home by members of the parish.

A hand-made quilt, “Desert Sky Pattern,” has been donated and will be auctioned during the event, as well as a hand-made oak blanket quilt/chest and Howard Miller wall clock with Westminster chime. The bazaar will also include specialty raffles of gift baskets, which may include items wished to be given as a gift this holiday season.

Some of the bazaar’s selection includes snowmen, ornaments, decorations and wreaths, dated porcelain figurines from home interiors, a Christmas dinnerware set with companion pieces, needlework items, pillows and baby quilts, wall hangings, jewellery, among other items.

The bazaar’s craft closet will feature fabrics, yarn, floral items, plants and gently-used decorations, among other items. Meanwhile, the baked goods booth will include homemade cakes, pies, cookies, bread, candy, jams and jellies.

The bazaar will also offer grab bags, which have been proven to be successful with children at previous bazaars.

The cafe, offering homemade soups, sandwiches, desserts and beverages will open 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5. The Knights of Columbus council 3724 will serve up a pancake and sausage breakfast from 9-11 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, for a price of $5 for an adult and $2.50 for children under 12.

The Holiday Bazaar offers something for everyone and is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Julie Sewell at 937-878-8353.
