XENIA — Two individuals serving prison sentences for their roles while members of a Dayton crime ring are facing additional charges in Greene County Common Pleas Court. Theresa Kennedy, 34, pleaded not guilty Friday to a breaking and entering charge, as well as a theft charge, while Kevin Palmer, 26, pleaded not guilty to a breaking and entering charge.

According to Beavercreek Police Captain Eric Grile, the charges for the two members of the “Twack Pack” resulted from the two breaking into the Tire Discounters location along Colonel Glenn Highway in Beavercreek, where Kennedy’s car was being serviced.

Grile wrote in an email that the two broke into the store April 25, 2015, and took the car back without paying the bill. Blood from the scene was matched to DNA to link the two to the incident, Grile added.

Kennedy is currently serving a 16-year prison sentence for 31 counts of theft, forgery, burglary and other crimes in both Montgomery and Greene counties, according to state records. Palmer is currently serving a 16-year sentence for seven counts of burglary, theft and other crimes in Greene County.

According to police, the group operated in the greater Dayton area, including Sugarcreek Township and Xenia, by stealing checks, credit cards, birth certificates, social security cards and other identity information to sell to purchase meth from a producer nicknamed “Methgyver.”

Kennedy was reportedly involved in several forms of identity theft via marriage licenses, credit cards and tax forms, while Palmer was involved in some of the burglaries, as well as pawning some of the stolen items, according to police.
