FAIRBORN — A convicted sex offender was arrested for allegedly committing sex crimes against two Fairborn children, according to news reports.

Jory Leedy, 46, of Franklin initially met the victims in 2012 while volunteering as a bus driver for Target Ministries in Dayton, news reports said.

According to a federal criminal complaint filed against Leedy, he sexually abused the two children several times.

The children were under 10 years old at the time of their meeting, according to court documents. Leedy started getting involved in the victims’ lives and spent every day with them for several hours at a time, according to a police report.

In order to avoid the victims’ parents finding his sex-offender status, Leedy told their mother that his first name was “Jordan” instead of “Jory,” according to news reports.

The victims’ parents learned of Leedy’s sex offender status in September 2015 after an argument between Leedy and the victims’ father transpired in which the Fairborn police were called to the scene. Officers discovered Leedy’s true identity and informed the parents, who said they had no idea that he was a registered sex offender, according to a police report.

The police then instructed the family to stop all contact with Leedy, and Greene County Children’s Services was contacted.

Leedy made an initial appearance in federal court Tuesday, April 12 after being arrested at his parents’ home in Franklin. He is being charged with aggravated sexual abuse of a minor less than 12 years of age, according to court documents.

Leedy was previously convicted in 2002 for gross sexual imposition, for which he served two years in prison and was ordered to register as a “habitual sex offender” for 20 years, according to news reports.
