Weapon fired on WSU campus

FAIRBORN — A Dayton man was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly fired a weapon in a parking lot at Wright State University. Randolph Parlier, 54, was taken into custody after campus police were called at about 10:15 p.m. Wednesday.

“When officers arrived on the scene, they found the suspect arguing with another person,” a release from WSU stated. “Officers learned that the suspect had approached a Wright State employee, argued with him, and fired a handgun striking a vehicle. The suspect, identified as Randolph Parlier, did not know the employee, is not a student and has no affiliation with the university. It is unknown why he was on campus.”

Parlier faces assault, criminal damages, discharging a firearm, felonious assault and carrying a concealed weapon charges in Fairborn Municipal Court, according to court records.
