WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE — It’s that time of year that calls for people to start thinking about the things they would like to do differently and goals they would like to meet in the New Year.

Popular resolutions include fitness as well as financial goals.

For those interested in running, fitness and saving money in the new year, consider signing up Jan. 1 for the 20th annual U.S. Air Force Marathon.

Runners who sign up on Jan. 1 will not only be making a commitment to fitness, but they will be able to save $10 on the half and full marathons and $5 on the 10K and 5K races. Prices for the race will increase beginning Jan. 2.

“I encourage everyone to register Jan. 1 to take advantage of a one-time only discount,” said Robert Aguiar, Air Force Marathon race director. “It’s a great opportunity to start the year off right by saving money on a fantastic race.”

The Air Force Marathon, presented by Northrop Grumman, USAA and Boeing, will take place Sept. 17
