Tis the season — soon, anyway, and the City of Fairborn is preparing for its arrival. Crews were spotted Nov. 19 stringing lights across the city’s community Christmas tree located at the Main Street and Central Avenue intersection. The Thanksgiving holiday is just more than one week away, and the city’s annual tree lighting ceremony and parade will follow soon after.

Fairborn’s annual Hometown Holiday Festival will take place 4-6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6. It will include a variety of family-friendly activities, a parade and lighting of the tree by Santa, himself.
