Music and arts festival to wrap Saturday

CLIFTON – The Clifton Gorge Music & Arts Festival will wrap up Saturday, Aug. 29. Attendees at the event can expect to see a variety of vendors and artisans, food and music. The festival will be held at the Old Clifton Union School at 100 N. St., Clifton.

Saturday Schedule

10 a.m. – Vendors open

10:30 a.m. – Chainsaw carving demonstration

11 a.m. – Beer garden open

11 a.m.-1 p.m. – Eddie Rowe: A wide repertoire of songs played on his acoustic 12-string guitar, including rock, pop, blues and more.

1-2 p.m. – Ty Cooper: Singer/songwriter from Pitchin writes and performs Americana, folk and alternate country music.

2-3 p.m. – Kyle Elderidge: Western swing, rockabilly, pop punk, and folk music bring back long-lost musical traditions of early to mid-20th Century Americana.

3-4 p.m. – Kenzie Chapman: Local singer/songwriter performs folk and ballads.

4-5 p.m. – 91 Charlie: All U.S. military veterans, the group plays a wide range of music including country and classic rock.

5 p.m. – “Adopt a Healthy Duck”: Come to the Greene County Combined Health District booth to adopt a “Healthy Duck” then watch as they race down the mill race at the Historic Clifton Mill. Sponsors of the winning ducks will receive prizes.

5-6:30 p.m. – Controversy for Breakfast: A “bluegrass-ish,” band from Xenia plays music with a unique, aggressive, country sound.

7-9 p.m. – Wyatt McCubbin: An up-and-coming country music singer and songwriter with a mature voice beyond his 20 years of age.

9-9:30 p.m. – Soul Fire Tribe (fire dancers): A fire dance performance group from Yellow Springs. The show is captivating and fun for all ages.

9:30-11 p.m. – Spanish Tony Sanchez: Blends of sounds representing diverse personalities and musical influences for a sound like no other.
