Greeneview excels at OHC Preview

XENIA — Greeneview’s boys track and field team won the OHC Preview Meet held on Monday at Northeastern High School.

The Rams 137.5 points significantly outpaced second-place Fairbanks by 60. Cedarville finished in fifth with 60.16 points.

On the girls side, Greeneview came in third and Cedarville fourth in the 12-team event.

In the individual events, 16 Greene County athletes came out on top with numerous top finishes as well.

Greeneview’s boys won four total events, including Will Reichley grabbing long and high jump titles. Sam Powers, Grant Maxie, Noah Sylvester, and Zeke Powers teamed for the 1,600-meter relay win, and Max Powers replaced Maxie on a team for the 3,200-meter relay victory.

On the girls side for Greeneview, Laney Hines in the long jump and Kelsey Marsden in shot-put won. Hannah Finley took home the 200-meter title, and she teammaed with Kayden Ashley, Kayla Finley, and Hines for the 400-relay win.

For Cedarville, Aleena Cook grabbed the only girls individual win during the 800-meter dash. The boys side won three total races, including Max Pollander, Matt Paris, Drew Mason, and Caleb Sultan crossing the line first in the 800 relay. Sultan also won the 800-meter dash and the 200 went to Mason.

Cedarville will host the Impson Invitational on Saturday.
