Xenia, Sidney play to draw

XENIA — At Doug Adams Stadium, Xenia hosted Sidney for their first home game. Both teams fought really hard, but the result was a draw.

Coach Keenan Mikal of Xenia and Coach Daniel Witts of Sidney both agreed that the draw was a fair result and every player fought hard.

Witts said the game was Sidney’s first real test of the Greater Western Ohio Conference season, and the game was a very physical game. The coach and his team are planning on watching the film tomorrow to prepare for their next game.

Xenia’s Mikal said his players showed outstanding performances. “Connor Reichert did a great job in the middle, Blake Bond did tremendous up top, Zach Brunsman, Joe Cloud and Daniel Miller all had just solid performances.”

On Monday, the Bucs (1-1-1) will host Kenton Ridge for a 7 p.m. game at Doug Adams Stadium.
