Raiders named to All-Tournament team

FAIRBORN — Eric Lynch, Peguy Ngatcha and Sam DeRoy of the Wright State men’s soccer team have been selected to the All-Tournament Team for the Hensor/Zaher Classic, which concluded on Sunday.

Lynch, a senior forward from Bellbrook, posted two assists in WSU’s 3-1 season-opening victory over Portland on Friday and recorded three shots in two matches.

Ngatcha, a senior forward from New Hampshire, assisted on the first goal against Portland, scored the final goal of the match against the Pilots and had three shots in two matches.

DeRoy, a senior midfielder from suburban Columbus, scored the game-winning goal against Portland.

Wright State (1-1) travels down Interstate 75 for a 7 p.m. matchup Friday Sept. 2 at Cincinnati, before hosting Duquesne in the home opener at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 5 at Alumni Field.
