Remembering John Fudge

XENIA – The Honorable John Fudge, born in 1796 was elected by the Whig party to serve in 1852 in the Ohio Senate. He was said to be the largest man in the Senate at the time. He served six years in the legislature and owned a farm just east of Xenia. He was described as an honest, capable and faithful man “You will like him at first meeting and shake hands with him warmly at parting.”. He died in 1868.
