XENIA — Dorothy Slater lived in Xenia her entire life. Born in 1927, she graduated from Xenia High School. She was interested in her community and served as a Xebia City Commissioner from 1979 to 1986 and was the first woman to serve as president of that commission. In 1985, she received the Xenia Civic Award for her many volunteer activities and was the first WGIC Community Club Awards Director. She loved her city and was willing to undertake a variety of volunteer activities whenever she was able to do so.
