FCS seeks student ambassadors

FAIRBORN — The Fairborn City School District “student ambassador” program allows students in grades 4-12 to serve as official representatives of Fairborn City Schools.

The Fairborn student ambassadors will serve as student hosts and hostesses at a variety of school and community events. Fairborn Student Ambassadors will have the unique opportunity to develop and receive training in communication, etiquette, marketing and interpersonal skills.

Student ambassadors may be asked to volunteer for the following events: host/hostesses at parent/teacher conferences, open house events, Hall of Honor, sporting events/tournaments, rotary/chamber events, Air Force Association/luncheon, meet/greet students (student tour days) and other school functions as needed.

Student ambassadors responsibilities include attending meetings regularly, demonstrating leadership and serving as role model, committing to 10 hours of service to the group for the year, committing to three-four meetings per month, maintaining a 2.5 grade point average during service, commitment of service from August 2017-May 2018.

If the student continues to meet responsibilities once selected, the student is an Ambassador throughout their school years in the district. Student ambassadors meet at Fairborn High School, Baker Middle School and Fairborn Intermediate School.

The Skyhawk Student Ambassadors will adhere to the mission and values of Fairborn City Schools. Students will be a positive representative of Fairborn City Schools at all events.
