It was the camp’s sixth year.

The Hertzler House Advisory Committee’s main objective is to preserve the 1854 historic house by educating the pubic about Clark County History and Daniel Hertzler. The group sponsors each year a historic Day Camp, spring and Christmas open houses, a Halloween haunting and Sunday summer tours, which now includes the barn. Contact Barbara Arnold for more information on volunteer opportunities at [email protected] or 937-864-1046.

The Living History DAY Camp was hosted by the Hertzler House Advisory Committee of the Clark County Park District. The camp hopes to inspire a love of history to the fourth and fifth graders who attend. The entire program focuses on the way children would have lived, worked and played in the 1800’s. The ultimate goal is for these youngsters to share the history of the Hertzler family and its importance to the history of Clark County, Ohio and the United States.
