BEAVERCREEK The Mall at Fairfield Commons, Beavercreek’s one-stop family shopping, dining and entertainment destination, will honor members of the Armed Forces with its first-ever Military Appreciation Week kicking off on Monday, July 4, and culminating with a free, family-friendly community event on Saturday, July 9.

The center’s Military Appreciation Week serves to recognize Ohio’s military personnel and thank them for their service to our country.

“Ohio has a tradition of military excellence and we’re honored to recognize those who serve, or have served, our great country during our Military Appreciation Week,” said Hannah Mohler, marketing director at The Mall at Fairfield Commons. “We look forward to welcoming all families here to share in this celebration of our country and those who keep us safe.”

Veterans and active military personnel (with a valid military ID) are invited to stop by guest services every day to pick-up exclusive giveaways, which will change daily (while supplies last). Giveaways include:

– Monday, July 4: 200 red, white and blue cookies from Great American Cookies

– Tuesday, July 5: 25 $25 gift cards to BJ’s Brewhouse

– Wednesday, July 6: 50 CamelBak water bottles

– Thursday, July 7: 25 $25 gift cards to BRAVO! Cucina Italiana

– Friday, July 8: 50 $25 gift cards to H&M

The week-long salute will culminate with a family-friendly star-spangled spectacular on Saturday, July 9, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the lower level in center court and outside near Entrance A. Families will have the chance to get up close to a military vehicle on display, enjoy appearances by Captain America and Wonder Woman, a bounce house, face painters, treats like cotton candy and popcorn, giveaways and more.
