OVI checkpoints set for Thursday

Greene County News

XENIA — Two OVI checkpoints are scheduled in Greene County Thursday night.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol will host a checkpoint with the Fairborn Police Department and the Greene County Sheriff’s Office on Colonel Glenn Highway, east of North Fairfield Road. The checkpoint will run from 9-11 p.m. Thursday.

The highway patrol, in conjunction with the Beavercreek Police Department and the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, will then hold a checkpoint on Colonel Glenn Highway, west of Presidential Road, beginning at midnight and concluding at 2 a.m. Friday.

“If you plan to consume alcohol, designate a driver or make other travel arrangements before you drink,” a release from the Xenia Post of the OSHP stated. “Don’t let another life be lost for the senseless and selfish act of getting behind the wheel impaired.”
