FAIRBORN — Fairborn was ablaze with Christmas decorations throughout the community this holiday season, and members of the Mayor’s Beautification Committee spent time reviewing them and decided who should get awarded for their efforts.

After much discussion, they decided that third place went to the Koogler family at 603 Grant St.; second place went to the Halbisens at 426 Lewis Dr. and first place was awarded to the Warrens at 288 Bowman Dr.

Committee members Karen Nagafuchi, Megan Manning and Norma Nikkola were joined by Mayor Dan Kirkpatrick on Wednesday to deliver the award certificates and a Christmas tree ornament to each winner.
