FAIRBORN — More than 140 community members gathered Wednesday morning before Thanksgiving Day to celebrate Fairborn’s 37th Annual Prayer Breakfast.

Co-sponsored by the Fairborn Chamber of Commerce and the Fairborn Rotary Club, the 7 a.m. event held at the Senior Center heard a message of “thanks” from Father Joseph Tedesco from the University of Dayton.

One of Rotary’s most highly esteemed presentation, that of a Paul Harris Fellow named after the founder of Rotary, was awarded to local businessman Brent Ross.

Fairborn City Schools Student Ambassadors and Chamber Ambassadors served as greeters for the event while Fairborn Rotary Interact and Lion’s Den Students assisted in serving. Volunteers from the Senior Center prepared the traditional breakfast, which is deemed one of the oldest of its kind in the Miami Valley.
