Fatal crash stops traffic on 235

BATH TOWNSHIP — The Xenia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) investigated a fatal crash that occurred at approximately 11:04 a.m. on Tuesday, April 12 on State Route 235 north of Bryon Rd.

According to the OSHP, a 2006 Kenworth semi-truck and trailer driven by Springfield resident Julian B. Hill, 68, was traveling northbound on State Route 235 when he drove off the right side of the roadway and overturned.

Hill was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash closed State Route 235 for several hours.

The Xenia Post was assisted at the scene by the Fairborn Fire and EMS, Bath Township Fire and EMS, the Fairborn Police Department, the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, and the Ohio Department of Transportation.

It is unknown what led to the crash, which remains under investigation.
