Student named to deans’ list

HAYS, Kansas — Local and area students from Ohio are among the 1,606 named by deans at Fort Hays State University, Hays, Kansas, to the deans honor roll for the fall 2018 semester.

Curtis D. Lindsey of Xenia is a junior majoring in general business studies and was named to the honor list.

The honor roll includes undergraduate who have completed 12 or more credit hours and earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.60 for the semester.

KC Dean’s List

KETTERING — Kettering College announced its fall semester 2018 academic dean’s list.

Students that are distinguished on Kettering College Dean’s List, completed at least 12 total credit hours during a semester, and maintained a grade point average of 3.5 or greater.

The following Greene County residents were named to that list: Demi Alexander, Nicole Alexander, Emily Asbury, Amanda Foster, Ryan Rifner, Kenslea Young of Beavercreek; Dragon Dukes, Nicole Inesta of Bellbrook; Bailey Fahl, Jennifer Hejl and John McCaskey, all of Fairborn; Allison Jones, Alexis Purdom, Katlyn Tuck, all of Xenia.

Heaney graduates

CHICAGO, Ill. — Alexander Heaney graduated cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree in cinema art and science from Columbia College Chicago.

He attended Beavercreek City Schools grades K-5 and The Miami Valley School grades 6-12. Heaney lives in Chicago where he is pursuing a career in screenwriting and music. He is the son of Brian and Abbie Heaney of Beavercreek.

Robbins makes list

ATLANTA, Ga. — Allison Robbins of Beavercreek, a freshman at Oglethorpe University, has been named to the dean’s list academic honors for the fall 2018 semester.

Robbins, whose major is Psychology, is among 364 students who achieved at least a 3.50 term grade-point average while earning 12 or more semester hours.

Hayslip recognized

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Haily Hayslip of Bellbrook was named to the University of Kentucky College of Arts & Sciences’ fall 2018 dean’s list. Hayslip is a current junior majoring in biology.

To be included on the dean’s List, students must have completed 12 or more credits during a semester for letter grades with at least a 3.6 GPA.
