Rabies vaccination clinics offered in Clark County

SPRINGFIELD – The Clark County Combined Health District (CCCHD) in cooperation with The Humane Society Serving Clark County is sponsoring two Rabies Vaccination Clinics.

The first takes place 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8 at CCCHD, 529 East Home Road. The second clinic takes place 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22 at Park Layne Elementary School, 12355 Dille Road, New Carlisle.

The cost is $10.00 per vaccination, only cash accepted. All animals must be on a leash (no retractable leases) or in an animal carrier, and must be under the owner’s control at all times. They must between 3 months and 1 year will receive a 1-year vaccination. Animals over 1 year with proof of current vaccination will receive a 3-year vaccination. The CCCHD asks attendees to bring prior certificates and tags if they are available. As an added service, The Humane Society will be microchipping your companion animals for $15 each or $10 with a Humane Society Discount Card.
