Ward named best delegate

CEDARVILLE — Cedarville University earned outstanding delegation honors at the recent National Model United Nations (NMUN) competition held March 25-29 at the United Nations headquarters in New York City.

Cedarville’s team received the outstanding delegation award, the highest team award of the competition.

The students also achieved individual honors. Corinna Ward of Xenia was one of two Cedarville students to be named best delegates of her committee, which is a peer award determined by members from other schools within their committees.

Students receive degrees

OXFORD — Miami University awarded degrees to students during fall commencement exercises Dec. 15, 2017, at Millett Hall. The following Greene County students received degrees: Anna Brackney of Beavercreek, Amanda Bridgeford of Fairborn, TeVonte’ Griffin of Xenia, Leah Hamlin of Beavercreek, Taylor Naragon of Fairborn, and Leah Simon of Bellbrook.

Colman earns degree

MANKATO, Minn. — Minnesota State University awarded 2,335 degrees at the end of the spring 2018 semester May 5 in Taylor Center’s Bresnan Arena.

Wendi Coleman of Xenia earned an MA in English.

Volk receives degree

LINCOLN, Neb. — Adam Volk of Bellbrook was among nearly 3,200 graduates who received degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln during commencement exercises May 4-5.

Volk earned a master of science from the University of Nebraska Office of Graduate Studies.
