XENIA — Interfaith Hospitality Network/ Schneider House is hoping to raise some funds this holiday season through Cookie Jars 4 Hope.
The cookie mixes, which come in three varieties, feature ingredients layered in mason jars. They can be used as holiday gifts, last-minute Christmas baking, or can be kept in the pantry for later.
The “Three Wishes” jar includes M&M’s, white chocolate and mini chocolate chips. “Cranberry Delight” features white chocolate chips, oatmeal and dried cranberries. “Snickers” makes a chocolate chip cookie with a candy surprise in the middle.
Cookie mixes are $10 each. All proceeds benefit Schneider House of Hope. Donations to IHN are vital in allowing the shelter to continue to provide temporary shelter, food, jobs and homes to Greene County families experiencing homelessness.
Community members interested in ordering a jar or selling the jars at their church or business can contact Brian, Alison, Alayna, Autumn and Avery Allport at email@example.com or 937-554-5983. Or check out the Facebook page: Cookie Jars 4 Hope.
Local businesses donated the ingredients for these mixes and volunteers assembled them. Donors and volunteers include Meijer of Beavercreek and Kettering, Sam’s Club of Beavercreek, Target of Beavercreek, Beavercreek LDS, Aley United Methodist and Hillside Chapel.
