XENIA — A Fairborn man pleaded guilty in Greene County Common Pleas Court Aug. 14 to having weapons while under disability, a third-degree felony; domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony; and violating a protection order, a third-degree felony.

Michael A. Harris, 32, was sentenced to a total of three years at the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, according to court records. Records say Harris is entitled to 107 days jail time credit.

Ten other charges within three individual cases were dismissed. The cases began in 2016 and 2017. Dismissed charges included possession of drugs, robbery, kidnapping and rape.

According to Fairborn Police Department Detective Ryan Whittaker, the same victim was involved in most of the charges, including the domestic violence charge and the violating a protection order charge.

Court documents show that Harris pleaded guilty to other criminal charges in the past, including domestic violence and trafficking in drugs.

Before sentencing, Harris was being held in the Greene County jail with a bond set at $100,000 with no 10 percent. He was scheduled for a jury trial in front of Judge Michael Buckwalter later this month.
