DAYTON — Military Veterans Resource Center invites unemployed and job-seeking veterans and spouses to attend a Veterans Career Workshop from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, June 11, located on the VA Medical Center Campus at 4100 W. Third St., Building 400. The workshop is free for participants and will take place at the Volunteers of America of Greater Ohio’s Veterans Resource Center. Lunch is included.

“The career workshop is an opportunity for veterans to build their job search skills and practice translating their military accomplishments for civilian employers,” said MVRC Executive Director Len Proper. “Many past participants have received interview invitations soon after completing the workshop.”

The workshop will include individual career assessments, a resume session, a mock interview session and a one-on-one consultation with a MVRC Veterans Services Specialist. If veterans have a resume, they should bring it, as they will spend time revising their current resume or developing a new one.

Participants must pre-register by contacting Kelley Koons at 937-329-9559 or [email protected]. The workshop has limited seating, so call today to be ensure a spot.
