Schmidt, Jenks join Jamestown practice

JAMESTOWN — Doctors Katherine Schmidt and Brian S. Jenks have joined Jamestown Family Practice.

Dr. Schmidt is a Xenia native and graduate of Carroll High School. She received her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

As a resident physician, she served on the Root Cause Analysis Team, focusing on improving patient care and safety in the hospital setting. She has contributed to and conducted research in areas of obesity, dermatology and molecular microspectroscopy.

Dr. Jenks received his medical degree from University of Pikeville – Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency in osteopathic family medicine and manipulative treatment at Southern Ohio Medical Center. Dr. Jenks grew up in the Jeffersonville and Washington Court House area where he most recently worked at a federally-qualified health center and patient-centered medical home at Fayette County Memorial Hospital. He is certified in family medicine and osteopathic manipulative treatment.

Both doctors will be seeing patients at Jamestown Family Medicine’s two locations which are Premier HealthNet practices, which include 4940 Cottonville Road, Suite 100, in Jamestown and 193 South Progress Drive in Xenia.
