BEAVERCREEK — Greene and Clark counties are joining forces to present a “Grill-n-Chill” adoption recruitment event June 19. The event will be hosted jointly by Greene County Children Services and Family & Children Services of Clark County. The event will take place from 6-8 p.m. at Dominick Lofino Park, 640 Grange Hall Road, Beavercreek.

The event is open to anyone that has already been pre-approved to adopt. Also attending the event will be children who are available for adoption in the two counties.

“This event is being offered to provide a relaxed, casual atmosphere where potential adoptive parents can meet children available for adoption,” said Jessica Wilson, an adoption caseworker at Greene County Children Services. “Families are welcome and there will be many children services staff members attending also. It’s a group event so there’s not a lot of pressure.”

Hamburgers, hot dogs, snow cones and more will be served, while attendees play a variety of games including a water balloon toss, corn hole, life-sized Jenga, life-sized Connect 4, among many others.

Those interested in attending should contact Maggie Lupton in Clark County at 937-327-1795 or [email protected] or Jessica Wilson in Greene County at 937-562-6694 or [email protected].
