For the lamb cook off, contestants prepare a recipe using American Lamb as the main ingredient. The categories for entries are: Celebrity, Adult (19 and older) and Junior (18 and under). Spectators get a chance to sample each of the recipes while the judges determine the winners.

The Lead-in classes are decorated classes are for ages 8 and younger. Both the lamb and the contestant are wearing wool in this class. Non-Decorated lead-in allows contestants to select an outfit made of at least 70 percent wool and lead a lamb around the ring. The non-decorated classes are divided into age groups. A non-wool Costume class is for ages 2-10. Both the lamb and the exhibitor are in costumes. You are welcome to borrow a lamb to show.
