FAIRBORN — Wilbur Penix, a resident of The Laurel’s of Hillsboro and formerly of Fairborn for more than 50 years, turned 100 years old Thursday, July 14.
Ice cream, cake and drinks were served to family and friends who joined together to help him celebrate this milestone in his life Saturday, July 16.
Penix was a former volunteer on the fire department for more than 20 years. He moved to the Hillsboro area in 2002. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Osborn gifted special cards and T-shirts, received from the Fairborn Fire Department. The fire deptartment staff and crew also sent their birthday wishes to Penix.
