There are so many times in my life that I rush through things and forget to include God in my life. God always wants to communicate to us and He wants us to communicate in return. One of the greatest proofs that God exists is when we pray to Him and He answers a definite yes, or no or not now. We should pray without ceasing or always say a prayer.

Ever wonder about the abbreviation ASAP? Generally we think of it in terms of even more hurry and stress in our lives … AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! Maybe if we think of this abbreviation in a different manner, we will begin to find a new way to deal with those rough days along the way. There’s work to do, deadlines to meet. You’ve got no time to spare, but as you hurry and scurry — ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER.

In the midst of family chaos, quality time is rare. Do your best; let God do the rest — ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER. It may seem like your worries are more than you can bear. Slow down and take a breather — ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER. God knows how stressful life is; He wants to ease our cares, And He’ll respond to all your needs ASAP — always say a prayer.

This idea of praying without ceasing is a scriptural idea that was carried out by Jesus and Paul and possibly others. When you search the Bible you will not see very many public prayers by Jesus or Paul. It’s not public prayer that is to go on without ceasing, but private prayer. Public prayer is changed to help all the listeners, but not too often will a person giving a public prayer start confessing private, personal sins.

Since God is in us and we in Him, so to speak, He wants us to commune with Him all the time:

2 Corinthians 10:5- Bring every thought to God.

I Thessalonians 5:17- Pray continually or without ceasing.

Romans 12:12- Be faithful in prayer.

Ephesians 6:18- Pray in the spirit and keep on praying.

Hebrews 13:15- Continual offer to God a sacrifice of praise.

Colossians 4:2- Devote yourself to prayer.

During this time of year where we remember those who died for our freedoms and celebrate the 4th of July, let’s also remember that we have a nation to pray for. There are a lot of things right with America and there are some things wrong with her. Let’s be in prayer for our nation. Let’s be people of God and be constantly talking to our Father. In fact the next time you should pray should be ASAP. Always say a prayer!
