FAIRBORN — Wright State University Theatre will present its 42nd season in the Festival Playhouse with the nostalgic musical: No, No, Nanette running from Oct. 27 to Nov. 13.

Pronounced,”full of much vigorous merriment and many agreeable tunes,” and “a highly meritorious paradigm of its kind,” by The New York Times, No, No, Nanette is a tap dancing musical comedy set in the stylish and vibrant 1920s. It features comical entanglements of love and friendship when young Nanette sheds her ladylike shell for a wild and exciting life. The foot-tapping score features well-known show tunes such as, ‘Tea For Two’ and ‘I Want To Be Happy’.

Set in Atlantic City of the 1920s, No, No, Nanette tells the story of a Bible salesman and the salesman’s young ward, Nanette, and their various romantic predicaments lead to comical misunderstandings in this whimsical musical. Discover the reason this show was billed as the “New 1920s Musical” as you sit back, relax, tap your feet to the beat, and enjoy this revered classic.

No, No, Nanette is directed by Joe Deer (Chicago, Peter Pan), with musical direction by Scot Woolley. Dances feature the guest choreographer Michael Baxter. Sets are designed by Pam Lavarnway.
