XENIA — Rain and heavy winds delayed the start of Friday’s Fairborn-Xenia game by an hour. It didn’t distract the Buccaneers’ offense from putting on another commanding performance.

Xenia dominated Fairborn to reclaim the Clifton/Spahr Tropy with a 43-7 victory at Doug Adams Stadium on Friday.
The Buccaneers scored a touchdown on its first six possessions and scored 43 unanswered in the win.
Deaunte White ran for four touchdowns and surpassed the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the season. Trimonde Henry caught two touchdowns thrown by Gavin McManus.
Fairborn received the opening kickoff and was not able to handle the kick, but were able to hop on the ball and maintain possession. It led to the Skyhawks’ offense producing a 10-minute drive as it marched more than 80 yards down the field to grab a 7-0 lead off a short TD run by Zyaire Cavitt.
Xenia (6-0) opened the second quarter with White’s first score of the game, but the extra point attempt sailed wide to keep Fairborn up by one. The Skyhawks on its ensuing possession fumbled its first snap and Xenia pounced on the ball for the recovery. White carried the ball the next 21 yards to put Xenia ahead.
After a three-and-out for Fairborn, White broke off a 66-yard touchdown run which was his 20th of the season. Xenia scored again on the final play of the first half when Henry made a leaping grab on the back corner of the endzonet to lead 29-7 at the break.
Fairborn (2-4) didn’t get a first down in the second of third quarters, but got a final scoring chance after the game went to the running clock. The Skyhawks used another 12 minutes of gametime to drive inside the Xenia redzone but failed to convert a fourth down chance.
Xenia travels to play at Troy in week seven, while Fairborn returns home to host Butler.
