YELLOW SPRINGS — Mills Park Hotel in Yellow Springs is putting a spotlight on cancer throughout the next week in an effort to raise funds for the Circle of Victory.

The Circle of Victory is held each year in Greene County and aims to raise funds for individuals suffering from cancer to cover costs of items not covered by insurance.

Heart Stitchers

Participants will sew heart-shaped pillows to comfort women recovering from mastectomies and patients with ports. The event is slated for 2-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 14 and is open to hotel guests and the public.

Restaurant Raider Dinner Event

Ellie’s Restaurant and Bakery is offering a preview of its items from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday, March 15 from its spring menu, as well as special buckeye vodka cocktails. A photo booth will be on hand, inviting participation, so individuals may take home a souvenir.

On-site Mammography

The Mercy Health Mobile Mammography Unit will park outside of the hotel and offer screenings on-site between 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, March 17. Following the screening, individuals may help themselves to a complimentary hot beverage and baked treat from Ellie’s. Schedule an appointment by calling 937-532-9332.
