DAYTON — Ticket information has been announced for Stephen King’s appearance in the Dayton area.

According to a posting on the famous author’s website, tickets for the “End of Watch” book tour event will go on sale 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, at the Victoria Theatre or online at my.ticketcenterstage.com.

Books & Co. will host the event 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 9, at the Victoria Theatre in Dayton. Doors will open 5:30 p.m. Tickets will cost $30 plus taxes and fees, according to Books & Co.’s website.

According to King’s website, each ticket guarantees entry to the event, as well as one unsigned hardcover edition of King’s new book “End of Watch.” Ticket sales are final and nonrefundable, according to King’s website. Due to capacity limits, each person is allowed to purchase up to four tickets.

“As a special bonus, 400 lucky attendees will randomly receive a pre-signed copy of the novel!” a posting on King’s website states. “Seating will be assigned based on the order the tickets are purchased, so fans are encouraged to act quickly!”

Additional copies of the unsigned new book, along with the two previous books in the series, “Mr. Mercedes” and “Finders Keepers,” will also be available for purchase at the event.

“End of Watch” is slated to be released June 7. The book is “a compelling and chilling suspense novel which sees retired detective Bill Hodges back on the trail of his nemesis Brady Hartsfield, the criminal the press called The Mercedes Killer,” a description of the book on King’s website states. “Foiled in his attempt to commit a second mass murder, Hartsfield is confined to a hospital brain injury unit in a seemingly unresponsive state. But all is not what it seems: Brady is able to influence both his physician and the hospital librarian to commit crimes in the outside world.”

King has written more than 50 books, including hits “The Shining” and “Carrie,” since making his first professional short story sale in 1967.
