FAIRBORN – With the amount of rain received weekly this summer, the repair work on Dayton-Yellow Springs Road near the primary school has had to be postponed by more than a month.

The section of roadway located in front of Fairborn Primary School, 4 W. Dayton-Yellow Springs Road, will be closed off to traffic beginning at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28. All eastbound traffic will be routed to Ironwood Drive onto Funderburg Road, and then to the Five Points intersection for through traffic. Westbound traffic will be maintained throughout the project.

The roadwork involves excavation, removal of damaged asphalt and a depth of sub-base, complete permanent base repair and paving. Anticipated project completion is Thursday, July 30, or possibly, Friday, July 20, by 4 p.m., weather permitting.

Questions regarding the roadway repair can be responded to by calling 937-754-3025.
