Dynamo win first match
DAYTON — This past Sunday, the Dayton Dynamo took on Ft. Wayne Sports Club in a friendly. The Dayton starting eleven included four players making their club debut. Noah Kummer, currently playing for Bowling Green University, got the nod in goal. Baye Kebe, former Senegal National Team member and UEFA Champions League player, debuted as a defensive-midfielder. Scoring got started early as debut striker Maik Schoonderwoerd, a former Dayton Flyers standout, poked home a misplayed ball by the Ft. Wayne keeper. Ten minutes later, it was Schoonderwoerd again, this time from the penalty spot after Christian Myton was brought down in the box. Michael and Mitch Deyhle hooked up for Dayton’s third goal, just before halftime. Ft. Wayne pressed hard in the second half for a goal, but the Dynamo held strong. Trae Collins and Henok Alemayehu each added a goal in the closing minutes, as the Dynamo rolled to a 5-0 win.
The team hosts Kalamazoo FC at 7 p.m. Friday, June 3 at Welcome Stadium.
BASEBALL
Sinclair headed to College World Series
Dayton – Sinclair Community College (50-10) will be headed to the NJCAA Division II Baseball World Series for the first time in school history.
Earning all-tournament team honors for Sinclair were: Alex Anders (Beavercreek High School); Tyler Cowles (Grove City); and Ben Myers (Grove City). The Region XII tournament MVP with three saves in the tournament, was Travis Rowland (Fairfield).
Coach Steve Dintaman was named the Region XII Coach of the Year.

SW Ohio Track Club program starts May 31
YELLOW SPRINGS — The Southwest Ohio Track Club will begin its Summer Track and Field Program on Tuesday May 31. This program is open to youth (7 years older) and older (including Masters). Practices are on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at Yellow Springs HS (5 p.m. and 6 p.m.) through July 21. The summer program is a certified USATF program with excellent coaching and training. Fairborn hosting wrestling camp
FAIRBORN — Fairborn High School will host a Champions wrestling camp June 13-16 in the high school gymnasium. The camp will feature 2016 Olympian, NCAA champion and 2015 World Champion Kyle Snyder, four-time NCAA All-American and 2016 NCAA champ Nahshon Garrett, 2016 NCAA All-American and 2015 NCAA champ Nathan Tomasello, two-time NCAA All-American and four-time OHSAA state champ Bo Jordan, and 2016 NCAA wrestling qualifier Jake Ryan.
Sessions will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 13, 14 and 16, and from 3-8 p.m. June 15. Cost is $160 through May 20, $185 thereafter. Deadline to register is June 10. Coaches with five or more wrestlers registered can attend free and will have the opportunity to take part in the camp.

Beavercreek hosting fundamentals girls basketball camp
BEAVERCREEK — The 16th Amanda (Reese) Crockett and Ed Zink Beavercreek Fundamental Girls Basketball Camp will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 6-9 at Beavercreek High School.
Cost is $100 per camper with a $10 discount for additional campers from the same family.
Camp will be administered and taught by Beavercreek’s all-time scoring leader Amanda (Reese) Crockett, and current Beavers coach and three-time coach of the year Ed Zink, along with current and former basketball players.
The camp is designed to provide campers with personal attention to improve their basketball fundamentals. Campers will also develop their skills and teamwork each day during league play.
Campers will receive a camp t-shirt, a drink each day, and trophies/awards for contest winners.
Also, Thursday June 9 is Mother-Daughter Camp Day, and family members are invited to participate.

Wilmington hosting boys basketball camp

Carroll hosting girls basketball camp
RIVERSIDE — Carroll High School will be hosting a girls basketball camp from 9-11:30 a.m. June 13-16 at the high school.
Session one is for girls in grades 2-5; session two is for girls in grades 6-9. Cost is $60 if you pre-register; $65 the first day of camp.
