Xenia’s Adkins wins high school state bowling title

COLUMBUS — Xenia High School junior Evan Adkins finished first out of more than 200 bowlers in record-setting fashion to win the Division I individual state championship, Saturday, at Wayne Webb’s Sports Bowl.

Adkins, who had finished second in the D-I tournament two years ago, rolled games of 296-267-242 for a state tournament record 805 series.
