Editor’s note: Election letters to the editor on candidates and ballot issues will be accepted for the daily newspapers until 12 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31. We do not run letters to the editor immediately prior to the election. For more information on letters, see the policy posted on our editorial pages in our newspapers.

Don’t wait until the last minute as we receive many letters the final week before the election and some may not run due to space constraints. Letters must be original, 350 words or less, written by the person submitting it or they may be rejected. Send them to [email protected].

Re-elect Smith

Editor:

Xenia has many talented, intelligent, and professional citizens. Unfortunately, many times these community citizens have limited time to invest their talents and resources into our community. This is definitely not the case with Better Images business owner Wesley Smith. During the many years I have known Wesley, I have seen his dedication to our city. He spends countless hours each week preparing for council meetings, researching and investigating city issues, and being available to all of our city citizens. These hours are in addition to his duties as the owner of a very successful Xenia business.

Wesley Smith approaches all city issues positively, professionally, and pro-actively, the mark of a true leader. His business experience and personality will facilitate positive changes to our community. As the chairman of numerous commissions for the City of Xenia, he has demonstrated his leadership qualities. To better promote our city, he works regularly with the board of education to fulfill our common goal. Anyone who meets him immediately realizes his immense concern and compassion for our city and its residents, businesses, and children. Please vote to re-elect Wesley Smith to the Xenia City Council on Nov. 7.

Re-elect Scott Miller

Editor:

Scott Miller is seeking re-election to the Board of Xenia Township Trustees on November 7, 2017.

Prior to my retirement as a Xenia Township Trustee in 2006, I had the distinct privilege of serving with Scott on the Board. Scott is a very dedicated individual who is very informed regarding the operations of the township. Scott is familiar with following the laws and requirements in the government of the township, while at the same time considering the desires of the citizens.

I would urge you to support Scott’s re-election to the position of Xenia Township Trustee on Nov. 7.

Elect Eric Winston

Editor:

I am supporting Dr. Eric VA Winston for Xenia City Council. It was my pleasure to work with Dr. Winston during my tenure as Xenia City Manager. I always found Eric to be thoughtful and thorough when he was viewing issues that faced the city.

Dr. Winston has an excellent understanding of our community and he has a clear vision for our future. Please join me in voting for Dr. Eric VA Winston for Xenia City Council.
