Remembering Harold Strobridge

CEDARVILLE — Harold Strobridge was a native of Cedarville and a leading collector of that community’s history. He collected hundreds of photos and stories of the village, which he delighted in sharing with others. As a child, he listened to the adults share stories of their youth, and took time to record many of these tales. For several years, he owned an automobile body shop, and then spent 15 years teaching at the Greene County Career Center. Upon his death, his collection of Cedarville memorabilia was donated to Cedarville University.

Joan Baxter is a resident and historical columnist.
