BEAVERCREEK — Participate in a disc golf tournament or just experience the game with the first Greene County Park & Trails disc golf tournament. Registration for the event begins at 9 a.m. and teeing off begins at 10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 3 at Karohl Park, 2940 Hohl Drive.

“GCP&T is excited to feature this growing and exciting sport to residents in the region,” GCP&T Director Chrisbell Bednar said. “Karohl Park is a perfect place to host this one-day tournament and provides everyone a chance to come out and see what disc golf offers residents.”

Disc golf is a precision sport in which individual players throw a flying disc at a target. The object of the game is to travel a course from beginning to end in the fewest number of disc throws.

Entry fees are $30 per team of two but participants may play free outside of the tournament as long as they do not impede the competitors. All proceeds will be used to provide the disc golf baskets.

For more information, call Greene County Parks & Trails at 937-562-6440 or email abotkin@co.greene.oh.us.
