XENIA — Glory Ministries Church will host its sixth pastoral celebration, honoring its pastor, the Rev. Dr. Gloria Dillon Sunday, July 20 at the church, 880 Hoop Road.
The deacons of the church, Joyce Filer and Eddie Scott will welcome the public to two worship services, 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The 10 a.m. worship service will be with the church associate ministers the Rev. Godfrey Day and the Rev. Vicky Kidd, who will deliver the morning message.
The 4 p.m. worship service will be with guest preacher the Rev. Milton Dean of Eden Baptist Church in Waverly. Dinner will be served for the public 2:30-3:30 p.m.
Pastor Dillon is a native of Zanesville, a retired Xenia educator of 34 years, a graduate of Central State University and has a masters degree from the University of Dayton and doctor of ministry from United Theological Seminary. She is also a board member of Central State University campus ministry. She is married to Vermon L. Dillon and has two sons, Charles, who lives in Kettering and Micah, a senior at CSU, and five grandchildren.
