I sit and write these letters that I write and sometimes I just cry. I just can’t stop them, and unless you know me you won’t know the reason. In Psalm 56, it talks about our tears, and says they are precious to Him. God knows why tears run down our face, that’s why He wrote it in His book.

When I look back and see my life, I cry tears of dismay. To know what I went through, that He was there all the time probably crying for me and sometimes when I think of it, I just cry tears of joy. When I look at some pictures of Jesus, I see tears in His eyes also. The Bible even says that Jesus wept also, in John 11:35, the shortest verse in the Bible.

Sometimes when I’m talking to someone about life and God, tears just begin to flow. Once in a while you will see water running down the person’s face that you are talking to. You know, tears really do make you feel good. Sometimes we should get alone and just cry to God, and I do it a lot.

People say, “Charlie, why are you laughing and crying at the same time?” You know, when you know where you have been and know where we are going—heaven—it just makes you cry tears of joy while laughing. It makes me feel better when I talk to someone and tears flow from both of us.

I spoke in a church one time, and one of the ladies said, “Charlie, you’re going to make the whole church cry.” Maybe the church should cry; it just makes you feel so humble when crying to God. Right now while I’m writing, there are tears in my eyes, and I can’t stop them.

It’s good to have love and compassion for others, and they always are glad when I show up. I laugh with them, send songs to them, and sometimes I just recite a poem straight from the heart. When you are walking with God, people will see it, if you are joyful and singing all the time.

I’m sitting here, looking out at the sunshine and watching the birds washing in the puddles in the street. It rained all day yesterday, and lots of water stand around. Yesterday as I heard the rain on the roof top and saw it falling from heaven, goodness and peace came over me. You know, when you read the Bible, and sit and write letters about God and His creation, life is so good.

My wife and I are sitting here another Sabbath day, listening to music and enjoying each other. As I sit here writing and crying, she has her eyes closed, and I’m listening to the music, thinking of what heaven is going to be like. Looking ground at all the beauty and enjoying another day upon God’s beautiful earth, I’m just waiting to leave for the Promised Land.

Why should we be mad and sad at the way the world is, when we are walking with God? We’re not of this world, just passing through. When you are in tune with heaven, God will let you see things down here that will blow your mind. I see on T.V. all over the world the beauty that there. We can enjoy all of this, but we have to walk with God if we want to make it to heaven.

Why do I cry? There are so many reasons; my tears are in a great big bottle in Heaven. Come on, walk with me on this journey holding hands, smiling and dancing with the heavenly songs that we hear. Life is short down here, heaven is forever. There is nothing wrong if we just sit and let our tears mix together.
