MAD RIVER TOWNSHIP — A convicted sex offender was arrested again this week on two counts of gross sexual imposition.
The Clark County Sheriff’s Office received a call Monday, Sept. 1, in which the caller said her son and his male friend, both juveniles, were touched inappropriately by William D. Schlemmer.
According to police, the caller stated that Schlemmer, 46, had just become friends with her family and that she later discovered he had just been released from prison but he would not tell them why.
Schlemmer, who is living on Skyline Drive in Enon, is currently on parole for juvenile rape and is a registered Tier III Sex Offender with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.
On Tuesday, Sept. 2, during an interview with a detective at the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Schlemmer admitted he had “touched the victims within their erogenous zone,” police reports said.
Schlemmer was then arrested on two fourth-degree felony counts of gross sexual imposition and was booked into the Clark County Jail. He was arraigned in the Clark County Municipal Court Sept. 3 where he pleaded not guilty.
