JAMESTOWN — A Greeneview High School student was killed in an ATV accident on Wednesday.

Connor Wallace, who would have been a sophomore, died at Dale Hollow Lake, Tenn., while vacationing with his family and other friends. Another Greeneview student, Brayden Woods, was also injured in the accident. He suffered some broken bones and is still hospitalized but is expected to survive.

Wallace was the son of Jon and Theresa Wallace.

“Great kid,” said Greeneview Local Schools Superintendent Isaac Seevers. “Was a wrestler. Solid student. Just a really likable kid. One of our teachers said this morning he was one of the good ones. It’s going to be a tough loss.”

The middle school was opened Thursday afternoon for any student who needed help grieving. Counselors were on site, Seevers said.

The school district will plan something next week as funeral arrangements are finalized, Seevers added.
