BEAVERCREEK — In memory of Greene County Parks & Trails’ Maintenance Lead Jeremy Lovely, the nature playscape at Russ Nature Reserve in Beavercreek was recently dedicated as the Lovely Nature PlayScape to honor his vision, imagination and creativity while working with the park agency.

Lovely was tragically killed in a bobcat accident earlier this year and was known for his behind-the-scenes skills for the multiple spent events hosted by the agency. A dedication ceremony for the new Lovely Nature PlayScape, the only nature playscape in Greene County, was held and was followed by the release of 34 butterflies to celebrate each year of his life.

The nature playscape is designed to encourage free play in a natural setting. For more information about the Lovely Nature PlayScape or Russ Nature Reserve, call Greene County Parks & Trails at 937-562-6440 or email abotkin@co.greene.oh.us.
