XENIA — The Greene County Combined Health District held its 2014 Employee and Volunteer Banquet at the Greene County Career Center on Tuesday.

Special awards and a proclamation from Ohio Sen. Chris Widener (R-Springfield) were given to Lynn E. Wolaver, PhD and Joyce A. Rickels.

Awards for 20 years of service went to Janice Gilliam-Gray, dental assistant; LaTish Faler, public health nutritionist; and Amy Schmitt, public health nurse 2. Those who received awards for 15 years of service were Brenda Black, clerical specialist; Gerry Huffman, medical records technician; Lisa Myers, account clerk 2; Shernaz Reporter, health educator. Receiving five-year awards were Bob Brooks, chief technology officer; Laurie Fox, public information officer and safe communities coordinator; Rachel Goff, breastfeeding peer helper; April Lucas, medical assistant; Mindy Saunders, Clerical Specialist; and Sheryl Wynn, emergency response planner/accreditation coordinator.
