WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE — Wright-Patt Medical Center is notifying patients who had prescriptions filled at the Kittyhawk Satellite Pharmacy between April 23 and April 29 they may have received wrong medication or a mixture of medications.


On April 29, a technical problem in the pharmacy’s robotic system was discovered, which may have impacted the accuracy with which some of the prescriptions were filled.


According to base commander, Colonel Cassie Barlow, the pharmacy fills approximately 1,000 prescriptions per day. As of Wednesday afternoon, they had found only one customer affected.


All patients who had prescriptions filled during this time are being asked to bring their prescriptions to the Wright-Patt Medical Center Information Desk located near the main entrance between 6:30 a.m. and 7 p.m., so that they can be checked for accuracy and be exchanged as necessary.


This concern only impacts those prescriptions that were filled at the Kittyhawk Satellite Pharmacy April 23-29.


The 88th Medical Group commander has set up a phone line staffed with pharmacy personnel to assist patients with any questions or concerns. That number is 937 257-9022. This line is also manned between 6:30 a.m. and 7 p.m.
