XENIA — Greene County Parks & Trails recently hosted its monthly Sportsman’s Seminar Series featuring local outdoor professionals and other regional experts that provide the latest information on fishing, boating, hunting and other sporting topics.

Approximately 50 local outdoor enthusiasts joined Deb Walters from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources to learn about the spring fishing forecast, as well as have the Dayton Sail and Power Squadron conduct a boat safety in the parking lot on Ledbetter Road. Doug Leeds from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources also shared information about the state’s water trail program.

In addition, participants enjoyed roasted deer sandwiches and viewed a large mounted Muskie caught in Caesar Creek Lake. For more information about any Greene County Parks & Trails program call 937-562-6440 or email abotkin@co.greene.oh.us.
