FAIRBORN – Baker Middle School has started a new tradition this year in which incoming sixth grade students are part of a new program titled Where Everyone Belongs (WEB). This initiative is a focused program to help incoming middle school students become acclimated to the school.

Baker Middle School eighth grade students are serving as leaders and mentors, and are hosting a variety of activities to help the new students.

Activities include an opening assembly and mixer, a tour of the building, lunch with their WEB leaders and other important “back to school” activities. Other activities include assignment of lockers and instructions, schedule walk-throughs, bussing and transportation information and practice arrival and dismissal.

District leaders feel that this program is beneficial because it allows the students have a mentor and leader, and group of students they will already know on the first day of school.
