FAIRBORN — Motorists who use State Route 235/Xenia Drive coming from I-675 to get into Fairborn will face rerouting as the roadway is scheduled for a three day closure at the railroad crossing.

The city will make intersection improvements on the railway, and vehicles will not be able to cross the tracks beginning Wednesday, June 1 through Friday, June 3. This closure may be extended to Monday, June 6 if work is delayed by bad weather.

Drivers coming from I-675 will want to exit at either the Dayton-Yellow Springs Road exit (one exit south of S-235) or the Broad Street/444 exit (one exit north of SR-235) when heading toward downtown Fairborn. As indicated by the detour map, northbound traffic on SR-235 will be re-routed through Yellow Springs-Fairfield Road and Black Lane up to Broad Street. Southbound traffic on SR-235 will be re-routed through SR-444 and West Dayton Yellow Springs Road.

Any questions regarding the work or detour can be addressed by contacting the City of Fairborn Engineering Division at (937) 754-3055.
